 Final Project

I made this artwork so I can introduce one of my country's traditional game to Liam. I colored the circles, and did a sketching. If you pay a little bit more attention, you can see that the colors in the circles are not same to the ones that are next to each other. This artwork is symmetrical. I sized it down so it can fit into the paper. Everything is equal, due to same size of the circles, except ones in the corners and in the middle. My eyes did not really move a lot in the game. I made it simple so we can finish it in due date.

Favorite Daily Object Sketches

I like this one because, as you can tell, it is related to Christmas.

I don't know why I like this one, but I just like it, probably because of the background.

I like this one because it is kind of geometrical.

I like this one because the sketch is just so perfect in my point of view.

I like this one because of its sketch and the object's shadow.

1. I liked the daily object sketches because it was quick.
2. I did not like the daily object sketches because I had to to it twice a week.
3. I liked the daily object sketches because I understood how many different things we can draw from one object.

Favorite Art Journals

This is my favorite art journal. I like it because it tells me what the topic was even just by looking at it.

This is my second favorite art journal. I like it because it just looks scary"

1. I disliked weekly art journal because I had to do it every week.
2. I liked weekly art journal because some of the topics were actually interesting.
3. One thing I disliked about art journal was collage.

Daily Object Sketch Day 30

Who am I?

Finished Project

I am an Asian. To be specific, I am a Korean and I don't think I am mixed. It does not matter whether I am from North or South Korea because although we might be divided, we still share same ancestors. Some of my ancestors might be mixed, due to a lot of wars with ancient China and Japan, but I cannot guarantee that for sure. This bridal mask symbolizes my future bride, something I might not have at all.
Honestly, I made this artwork because it was a homework, and I chose a bridal mask because it just popped in my mind. While I was drawing it, I tried my best make it look as close as possible to reality, meaning it is an actual artwork. I was thinking that I should not mess this one up because it represents who I am and where I am from. Even though this is my fifth year in America, some people still confuse me if I am Japanese or Chinese. Thus, I wanted to make it clear this time by working on this project.
I don't think it is a really bad artwork, but I think I could have done better if I was at school on Tuesday. Still, I think it is a successful artwork because it still tells other people who I am and where I am from. What worked about this project is painting. What did not work about was sketching. One thing I don't like about this artwork is that while the title of the artwork is a bridal mask, it actually look like a man.
