Who am I?

Six Project Sketches

I am an Asian. To be specific, I am a Korean and I don't think I am mixed. It does not matter whether I am from North or South Korea because although we might be divided, we still share same ancestors. Some of my ancestors might be mixed, due to a lot of wars with ancient China and Japan, but I cannot guarantee that for sure. This bridal mask symbolizes my future bride, something I might not have at all.
Honestly, I made this artwork because it was a homework, and I chose a bridal mask because it just popped in my mind. While I was drawing it, I tried my best make it look as close as possible to reality, meaning it is an actual artwork. I was thinking that I should not mess this one up because it represents who I am and where I am from. Even though this is my fifth year in America, some people still confuse me if I am Japanese or Chinese. Thus, I wanted to make it clear this time by working on this project.
I don't think it is a really bad artwork, but I think I could have done better if I was at school on Tuesday. Still, I think it is a successful artwork because it still tells other people who I am and where I am from. What worked about this project is painting. What did not work about was sketching. One thing I don't like about this artwork is that while the title of the artwork is a bridal mask, it actually look like a man.
